Austin is known as “The Live Music Capital of the World.” It is also the capital of Texas. You can experience live music at little bars and speakeasies or large music venues within walking distance of the conference hotel. You can also walk to the Texas Capitol building from the conference hotel. Austin is famous for its food trucks and taco joints, as well as Sixth Street nightlife. November comes on the tail-end of football and music festival season in Austin, so you may have to plan ahead to visit the large music venues or specific shows.
