Our Keynote Speaker for this year’s conference is Dr. Susan Antebi, Professor of Latin American Literature at University of Toronto.
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

Dr. Antebi specializes in disability and corporeality in twentieth-century Mexican cultural production. Her most recent book,<\/a> Embodied Archive: Disability in Post-Revolutionary Mexican Cultural Production,<\/em> engages with science fiction and eugenics such as Eduardo Urzaiz\u2019s Eugenia<\/em> (1919).\u00a0 Dr. Antebi is also co-editor of The Matter of Disability:<\/em><\/a> Materiality, Biopolitics, Crip Affect,<\/em> in which she also contributed an essay on the corporeal and transactional experience of the Mexico City subway system. Her work has been funded by a SSHRC Insight Grant and a Chancellor Jackman Faculty Research Fellowship.<\/p>\n
