Activity

Recently returned from the Utopian Studies Society (Europe) conference in New Lanark where I presented a paper “Sounding Utopia: Late Style, Abstraction and Negation in Music”. The paper is part two of a theme explored in papers I gave in Tarragona and Toronto in 2012 – “Sounding Utopia In The Structure Of Music”. In the coming months I plan to write up this work and explore possible options for publication. In the meantime, I shall be posting slightly amended versions of both papers on the Academia.edu website.
